This was the scene in our skies last evening as the sun was going down. But we awoke to fairly clear skies this morning. But this is apparently caused by the effect of the fires "laying down" at night...something about the lower temperatures. But as the day warms the fire and smoke pick up and as of this writing, the smoke has again filled the skies to the point that there isn't much sunshine getting through.

The garden and flower beds are enjoying the summer temperatures and the blooms seem endless. So I am taking advantage of the steady blooming to get back to producing my handmade beads. I enjoy the process and the end results are beautiful.

JW is outside helping son-in-law P.C. get a load ready to take to the dump. It's many miles north in the valley so they are securing it for the trip.
