This is the forest fire ash on our mail box. The fire is at least 10 miles away but we are also getting smoke and ash from a few fires that are burning in Eastern Idaho. So we haven't seen the sun in a few days. We are thinking that we need to leave the state for awhile if JW's asthma gets any worse. The smoke is sure burning our eyes. Our State Governor has declared Montana a state of emergency.
Look what's growing from our frosted tomato plants! If this hot weather keeps up through August we may still get to taste some good old home grown veggies!!! And the weather man says we may get that chance to harvest some later this month. Yum!!!

I well remember the fires we had around Wenatchee and how nasty the smoke was. It is difficult for anyone with asthma. Hope the smoke clears soon so JW has some relief.
