This is a 'cute' little creature that lives in the pond behind us. He is upset because the neighbors cat had gotten much to close to him and he was whistling as loudly as he could in an effort to chase him away. Of course, it worked! I don't mind the fact that we don't see him very often around our yard!
My Hosta's do not seem to mind all this heat we have been having this week. The weather forecast for next week is for Missoula to be at 99 degrees and we are usually a few degree's higher than they are. Boy, that Muskrat may have to share that pond with us very soon!!

I hope it is not too hot when we are in Missoula on the 21st, though it was extremely hot last year.
