My walking group went on a wonderful hike yesterday. Yes, we do step "out of the box" once in a while around here! The hike was 6 and 1/2 miles round trip up a gorgeous canyon near the town Darby. We started out the hike with light coats but by the time we reached our lunch spot...in the above picture...we had removed our coats and noticed the temperature was rising. The temp was in the 50's when we left the trail head this morning.

There were so many beautiful wild flowers in bloom that I had a hard time keeping up with everyone. But they are always patient with me and my ever busy camera.

This was one of the many fabulous views that we saw on our hike. There was a wonderful cool creek that ran near the trail almost the entire way up to our lunch spot. Even the sound of the water rushing by made it seem much cooler. But when I arrived back home the temperature was 95 degrees! What a temperature change in such a short time.

But even with the heat I had a great day out in the woods with our walking group. This place is real close to Heaven on earth!

Hosta girl friend, you have as many beautiful places to walk as I have. We sure are blessed to live in this wonderful country.
