THIS POOR LOOKING FLOWER BED HAS BEEN IN NEED OF SOME LOVING CARE FOR MORE THAN A YEAR. THE DAYS WERE JUST TO SHORT LAST YEAR FOR ME TO GET OUT AND RESURRECT THIS POOR THING. SO THIS MORNING JW AND I TACKLED THE JOB. THE FOLLOWING PHOTO SHOWS THE BED WITH MOST OF THE DEAD STUFF RAKED AND TRIMMED BACK.
THIS PROJECT TOOK US MOST OF THE DAY. THE FLOWERBED IS FILLED WITH DOZENS OF NATIVE PLANTS AND WE EVEN DISCOVERED A FEW WE DIDN'T KNOW WERE THERE BECAUSE THE BED IS SO OVERGROWN. BUT DURING THE LAST SUMMER I DID MAKE SURE THIS WAS WELL WATERED SO I AM HOPING WE WILL BE REWARDED WITH LOT'S OF BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS THIS SUMMER.OH, TWO MORE THINGS, YES, WE STILL HAVE LOT'S OF SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS BY US AND YES, THAT IS A "PORTAPOTY" IN THE BACKGROUND!! THE NEW NEIGHBORS ARE HAVING A BARN BUILT THERE AND THIS IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CREW. YES, IT'S A WONDERFUL SITE OUT OUR FRONT WINDOWS!

It must feel good to be able to get outdoors into your garden.
I am so pleased with the way things are starting to bloom in mine, and we are making headway into getting the vegetable garden built.
Looking at that patch makes me feel like rolling up my sleeves and come lend you a hand!
That "flowerbed" across the road from where we live - the little paradise - is far smaller than your patch, but the weeds are ruling once again for the coming Spring, geeez, there's no hope for that poor garden!
Good thing there's a toilet at the far end of the scenery, 'cause with me around, I keep shouting "Gangway, to the loo, to the loo, LOL!!!
KEEWEE,THINK OF ME WHILE YOU ARE ENJOYING THOSE WONDERFUL FRESH VEGGIES FROM YOUR VERY OWN VEGGIE GARDEN.
AND GINCO...A FEW TIMES YESTERDAY I ACTUALLY WISHED THE PORTAPOTTY WAS A BIT CLOSER THEN I REMEMBERED THE 4 STRANDS OF THE BARB WIRE ON THE FENCE BETWEEN ME AND IT!!!!
