We are having a snow storm worse than any storm that I have ever seen. It is snowing so hard that the hills around us are not visible. And it appears that our home is sitting in a vortex as the snow from the living room windows is blowing and falling to the north, the snow outside the kitchen window is blowing to the south and the snow outside the deck glass doors is falling towards the east. It is a very strange site and several times the wind is blowing so hard that the snow is blowing horizontal and not even hitting the ground! There are snow drifts up against the north side of the house and if we plan to go anywhere today we are going to have to shovel the wind driven mound of snow from behind the truck in the carport. And of course, the driveway has competely disappeared from view. It looks like we are in for a long winter storm. Yesterday we had a little snow and even some sun shine but there may not be sun today.
