I have found the elusive flower at last!

It has taken me 3 years but I have finally found the very elusive flower called the Bitter Root which was found by Lewis and Clark on their trek through this beautiful valley all those years ago. And of course this valley is named after this flower as is the river that runs the length of the valley.
I have been told, but have not read this fact myself, that this is the only place in the world this little beauty exists.
One reason I was having such a hard time finding one is that the flower closes close up in the early evening and opens late in the morning. I can't believe how many times I have walked right by this area where this flower is growing. The flower is only about 2 inches across and about 4 inches tall so that makes it difficult to see too.
So I am a happy girl now I was able to finally see this pretty flower actually growing instead just in a photo. And now I have a photo of my very own.
