Our adventure into the woods
Mistaya the puppy and I ventured out on a hike yesterday and along the trail we found several plants of Bear Grass is different stages of growth.
The flower is a beautiful white that grows on a stalk about 3 feet in height. The flower starts of open in bloom from the bottom of the flower.

My Garden has come to life at last
These are a few of my flowers that have finally came into bloom. Our winter seemed so long and spring so short that it appeared that nothing was going to bloom this year. So this is a very welcome site for us.
JW is still working at the 'hardware' store in town but has dropped back to 25 hours a week. This works out very well for him as he can spend much more time in his wonderful machine shop. We are both looking forward to the day when he does have to go to town to work every day.
We still have plans to take the little trailer to some nearby campgrounds this summer but he is now required to work every other Saturday so we are trying to work out a solution to that new problem. Oh, I am sure we can come up with something!

GET YOUR REST WHERE EVER YOU CAN!
Isn't that the sweetest picture? No, I wasn't the lucky one who took this photo but I am still looking for such great opportunities. Most of my lovely Hosta plants did not survive the winter. I decide to just plant different flowers with lot's of color in each of the very large pots. The color should brighten things up around here this summer.

PRIVACY AT LAST
We have been spending many spare moments working on the privacy lattice for the back deck. No, it isn't because of the next door neighbors....she and I have beome good friends. It's because of the wondering gazes we get from the passing vehicles from our road.

It has brought a sense of peace and quiet to our little deck area. And I enjoy bar-b-queing myself something to eat during this warm late spring days. And I always eat my meal at the large picnic table near the Lilac bushes or if the weather isn't the best, on the deck.
And one corner of this area has been made into a wonderful reading/meditating area. A great place to put your feet up, enjoy a tall glass of ice cold lemonade and read a good book. Awe, now that's the life!
Thank you JW for all your hard work.
