I have had a very good day today. I heard from someone that I had lost touch with. Isn't it wonderful how such a small thing can change your whole day and make it seems so wonderful! This young man and I had worked together for several years as did his young bride. He is a soul with the kindest heart I have ever known and to have them actively back in my life is such a blessing. There are some people on this earth that when they pass through your space in this life, they go by leaving you touched with a sense that you are certain that goodness does turn this world of ours. To be so young yet to be filled with such wisdom. So, with open arms and an open heart I am thankful to have you back.

Getting it done!!

The picture I have posted here is one I took earlier this winter on a fence along our driveway. It's just strands of wire and the branches of a weed that is incased in frost. I just thought it was an interesting picture on a cold winter day.
I made another run to the post office this afternoon to mail out 2 more items that I have sold on my eBay auction sites. I must say I have done real well with my auctions. I started out selling my sons T-shirts from the 80's and 90's. Boy did they do well!!! The first auction shirt sold to a gentlemen in Italy. After selling all of my son's clothes he had left behind when he moved away several years ago, I started in on his toys from the 70' and 80's. He kept his toys in very nice shape. Toys from Star Wars, GI Joe, Mutant Ninja Turtles, and He-Man, Masters of the Universe all sold well. There is more to sell but I think I will take a week or two off to get things together...At least a list or two! That eBay site is an amazing thing..Anything in the world you could want is found there. It can certainly consume a lot to your day but it's so much fun!

my sweet old kitty Blackie crawled up into my lap and gave me one of those 'looks'....like she knows what's going on already. She has two main jobs in our house...1. to spread as much black hair on the rug as possible..always waiting till AFTER I vacuum!!! and the second is to do as much sleeping that she possibly can in each 24 hours. And I can truthfully tell you she is a pro at both jobs. She has been my friend and confidant for 22 wonderful years. She is my only worry about our adventure this year. She is very healthy and happy in our home. And fortunately she likes our neighbor who will be coming by to feed her and our other cat who is 6 years old this year. They get along just like step sisters do. (Take that comment the way you want!). Blackie doesn't stray out of the yard.
