FIREWEED...epilobium angustifolium...This beautiful flower grows from 2 - 4 feet tall. The seed pods split open and disgorge thousands of time, fluffy seeds that can be carried on winds for great distances. The honey of the Fireweed rates very high with bee-keepers.
This is a very small wild pink rose we found beside a trail. It measure just a little over a inch and a half across.
Woodland penstemon...Nothochelone nemorosa...This flower grows to 24" and blooms from June till September.
And of course this is my favorite..Tiger Lily... Columbia Lily. This wild lily grows to 30" but it differs from our home garden variety as the flower may only grow to just 1 1/2" to 2" in width. But it still has the beauty of our garden lily!!
